He has also received the Gilmore Young Artist Award and the Max I. Allen Classical Fellowship Award from the American Pianists Association.\line \line In 23/24 Adam Golka performs with the Lubbock Symphony, Phoenix Symphony, Lakeside Symphony, and joins Rob Kapilow for a What Makes it Great presentation of \i Pictures At An Exhibition\i0 . A passionate chamber music performer, Golka is the pianist for the Manhattan Chamber Players, performing throughout the US.\uc0{\u160} Other chamber performances include the Jupiter Chamber Music Ensemble, and dates with Jan Swafford and with Michael Brown.\line \line The 22/23 season began with a recital at Keyboard Arts in Fresno, Mesa Arts, and Winter Park, FL and the tour with Zorman which included a date at Wigmore Hall.\uc0{\u160} Orchestral appearances included\uc0{\u160} Tallahassee Symphony, Asheville Symphony, Orquesta Ciudad de Granada and Erie Philharmonic. Adam was also a judge for the Junior Cliburn competition Junior Piano Competition. Summer of 2022\uc0{\u160} included a return to the Krzyzowa Music Festival in Poland, where Adam appears regularly.\line \line In recent years, Adam Golka performed the eleven-hour cycle of Beethoven\uc0{\u8217}s Sonatas five times in its entirety, three times for socially distanced audiences at the Bach Festival Society of Winter Park (Florida), once at the Archway Gallery in Houston, and also a live-streamed cycle at the Saint Thomas Church Fifth Avenue (NYC), with a growing live audience as the year-long series proceeded. Adam\uc0{\u8217}s performances were complemented by 32 short films he created with Zac Nicholson, known as \b \i 32@32 \i0 \b0 (available on YouTube). First Hand Records in London has released his \uc0{\u8220}Beethoven Piano Sonatas Vol. 1\uc0{\u8221} in 2020, recorded at the Tippet Rise Art Center in Montana. \uc0{\u8220}Adam Golka plays [Sonatas op. 10] with a certain brio, fiery, very free. Since finishing his formal studies, Adam has continued to develop his artistry through private mentorship from his favorite artists: Alfred Brendel, Richard Goode, Murray Perahia, Ferenc Rados, and Andr\uc0{\u225}s Schiff, who invited Adam to give recitals at the Klavier-Festival Ruhr and Tonhalle Z\uc0{\u252}rich for the \uc0{\u8220}Sir Andr\uc0{\u225}s Schiff Selects\uc0{\u8221} concert series.\line \line As a concerto soloist, he has appeared with dozens of orchestras, including the BBC Scottish Symphony, NACO (Ottawa), Warsaw Philharmonic, Shanghai Philharmonic, as well as the San Francisco, Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, Milwaukee, Indianapolis, New Jersey, and San Diego symphonies. Adam has enjoyed collaborations with conductors such as Donald Runnicles, Pinchas Zukerman, Mark Wigglesworth, Joseph Swensen, and he has made countless concerto appearances with his brother, conductor Tomasz Golka. Adam gave his Carnegie Stern Auditorium d\uc0{\u233}but in 2010 with the New York Youth Symphony and his New York recital d\uc0{\u233}but at Alice Tully Hall, presented by the Musicians Emergency Fund.\line \line Adam\uc0{\u8217}s professional life began when he was awarded the first prize and audience prize at the 2nd China Shanghai International Piano Competition.
